SHE’S 105 years old and altogether she has 101 children, grandchildren and great-grand-children.
She’s not on any medicine and she doesn’t need sticks to walk.
And yesterday she told us the secret of her long life: BOOZE!
Gogo Dimakatso “Sgogi” Motseki drinks all sorts of tshwala to keep her body strong.
Her favourite tipple is Jack Daniel’s whiskey and Viceroy brandy. But she’s also happy with a beer in her hand!
“I’m not on high blood pressure or sugar diabetes medication and I’ve never been in hospital,” said Gogo Sgogi when the SunTeam visited the house in Jouberton, North West, where she lives with her family.
She was busy washing dishes and dusting furniture.
“I have two bottles of Black Label daily and my whiskey in bits. Two bottles can last me a month,” she said.
Gogo Sgogi was born in Hartbeesfontein, near Klerksdorp, on 30 July 1907 and grew up in North West. She was a domestic worker for 40 years!
Her husband died many years ago and of her 12 kids, only three survive.
Pule Moaludi (42), a family friend, told Daily Sun Gogo Sgogi was still full of life. “Last week we braaied and partied till dawn,” he said.
